Resolution on Ukraine adopted by the Czech Chamber of Deputies

I. kategoricky odsuzuje barbarskou, neomluvitelnou a nevyprovokovanou agresi Ruska
proti Ukrajině, která je v rozporu se základními normami mezinárodního práva
i zásadami vzájemných vztahů mezi civilizovanými národy a která ohrožuje jak životy
nevinných lidí, tak samotné základy bezpečnostní architektury v Evropě;
II. vyjadřuje jednoznačný nesouhlas se lživou a agresivní rétorikou politického vedení
Ruské federace, zejména jejího prezidenta Vladimira Vladimiroviče Putina, která má
vojenský útok proti Ukrajině ospravedlnit a jež má za cíl zpochybnit její státní
nezávislost i právo na její samotnou existenci;
III. vyjadřuje nesouhlas s předchozími nelegálními kroky Ruské federace včetně uznání
nezávislosti tzv. Doněcké lidové republiky a Luhanské lidové republiky, anexi
Krymského poloostrova a vojenské okupace těchto území;
IV. vyjadřuje jednoznačnou podporu Ukrajině v této těžké chvíli, podporuje její územní
celistvost a svrchovanost v mezinárodně uznaných hranicích a zdůrazňuje, že Ukrajina
má plné právo na obranu svého území, stejně tak jako má právo na volbu svého
vnitřního ústavního, společenského a politického uspořádání a svého zahraničně
politického směřování;
V. oceňuje, že vláda České republiky razantně a urychleně odsoudila agresi Ruské
federace vůči Ukrajině;
VI. vyzývá vládu České republiky, aby na příslušných mezinárodních fórech, včetně
orgánů Evropské unie, důsledně prosazovala okamžité přijetí účinných sankcí proti
Ruské federaci a fyzickým a právnickým osobám a případně i dalším zemím, které se
podílí na agresi proti Ukrajině;
VII. vyzývá vládu České republiky, aby nadále pokračovala ve svém úsilí na podporu
Ukrajiny, a to jak bilaterálně, tak v rámci EU, NATO a dalších mezinárodních
organizací, a aby Ukrajině poskytla veškerou potřebnou pomoc;
VIII. vyzývá vládu České republiky, aby rychle a podstatným způsobem přispěla k posílení
obranyschopnosti spojeneckých zemí východního křídla NATO,
IX. vyzývá Ruskou federaci, aby okamžitě zastavila vojenskou agresi proti Ukrajině a
stáhla své jednotky z jejího území v mezinárodně uznávaných hranicích.

Declaration of the Chamber of Deputies adopted on 24th February 2022
The Chamber of Deputies
I. categorically denounces the barbarian, inexcusable and unprovoked aggression by
Russia against Ukraine, which breaches the basic norms of international law as well
as principles of mutual relations between civilised nations and which threatens not
only the lives of innocent people but the foundations of the European security
architecture themselves;
II. proclaims unanimous disagreement with the mendacious and aggressive rhetoric of
the political leadership of the Russian Federation, in particular president Vladimir
Vladimirovic Putin, which purports to justify the military attack against Ukraine and
intends to question its independence as well as the right to independent existence;
III. proclaims disagreement with previous illegal steps of the Russian Federation
including the recognition of independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the
Luhansk People’s Republic, the annexation of the Crimean peninsula and the
military occupation of those regions;
IV. proclaims unanimous support of Ukraine at this difficult moment, supports its
territorial integrity and sovereignty within the internationally recognised borders,
and stresses that Ukraine has a full right to defend its territory, as well as the right
of decision regarding its internal constitutional, societal and political order and the
direction regarding its foreign affairs;
V. appreciates that the Government of the Czech Republic forcefully and promptly
denounced the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine;
VI. calls on the Government of the Czech Republic to vigorously support immediate
adoption of effective sanctions against the Russian Federation and persons and legal
entities and eventually other countries contributing to the aggression against
Ukraine in appropriate international fora, including the organs of the European
Union;
VII. calls on the Government of the Czech Republic to continue their efforts to support
Ukraine, and to do so on a bilateral level as well as within the EU, NATO and other
international organisations, and to provide all necessary help to Ukraine;
VIII. calls on the Government of the Czech Republic to promptly and in a significant
manner contribute to strengthening of defence capabilities of the Allied countries of
NATO’s Eastern flank;
IX. calls on the Russian Federation to immediately stop the military aggression against
Ukraine and to withdraw its units from Ukrainian territory within its internationally
recognised borders.
