Re: The Annual Session 2020 in Athens goes online
Dear members,
We hope this finds you well and healthy.
We would like to provide you with an update on the NATO PA Annual Session, originally
scheduled to take place in Athens on 20-23 November.
Together with our Greek hosts, we have done our utmost to ensure that our meeting could go
ahead in-person in conditions that would reassure all participants. Unfortunately, in light of the
continued spread and unpredictable evolution of the coronavirus Covid-19, the Standing
Committee and our Greek hosts feel that it would not be prudent to hold our Annual Session
in-person. Meeting on 29 September 2020, the Standing Committee instead decided that the
Assembly will hold its Annual Session online in the same timeframe originally planned for the
Athens meeting.
Our International Secretariat is finalising plans for this new configuration and will get back to
you shortly with specific details on the organisation of this first-ever online session.
In the meantime, more online meetings and webinars are planned in the coming weeks, and
we would like to encourage you to take part.
