    Invitation til møde med Georgiens viceminister for euro-atlantisk inte-
    gration
    Georgiens viceminister for euro-atlantisk integration, David Dondua, besøger
    København den 24. – 25. februar. I den anledning er der arrangeret møde
    tirsdag den 25. februar 2014 kl. 13.00 – 14.00 i vær. 2-133.
    Under mødet forventes viceministeren at komme ind på det kommende NA-
    TO-topmøde den 4. – 5. september 2014, Traktaten om Konventionelle Væb-
    nede Styrker i Europa (CFE - Treaty on The Conventional Armed Forces in
    Europe) og status på forholdet mellem Georgien og Rusland.
    Mr. David Dondua vil være ledsaget af Mr. Zurab Janjgava, seniorrådgiver fra
    ministeriet for europæisk integration, Mr. Giorgi Dolidze, direktør for uden-
    rigsministeriets afdeling for sikkerhedspolitik og euro-atlantisk integration, og
    Mr. David Nardaia, chef for forsvarsministeriets afdeling for internationale
    relationer and euro-atlantisk integration.

    David Dondua was appointed as a First Deputy State Minister for European and Euro-
    Atlantic Integration in October 2012. Prior to his current assignment he was Chief of
    Cabinet of the Chairman of Parliament of Georgia (2008-2012).
    David Dondua joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in 1993 and served as a
    Political Director (2006-2008), Ambassador to NATO (2001-2006), Deputy Chief of
    Mission at the Embassy to the United States (1998-2000), Director of Department for
    Politico-Military Affairs (1996-1998), Deputy head and then Head of NATO Division
    (1994-1996) and I secretary in the Department for International Organizations (1993-
    1994).
    In 1994-1995 as a member of the State Delegation he was engaged in negotiations
    between Georgia and the Russian Federation on military issues, including the status of
    Russian Military Bases stationed in Georgia. In 1995-1998 he also held the position of
    the Executive Secretary of the State Interagency Committee for Co-operation with
    NATO/PfP. He holds Diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
    (Since 2001).
    Before joining Foreign Service, in 1981-1988 David Dondua worked as an assistant
    professor at the Institute of Geography of the Academy of Sciences of Georgia. His
    research area was political and commercial geography of South Caucasus. In 1988-1992
    he was deputy director and professor of geography and natural history at Tbilisi
    Gymnasium. He is an author of textbooks on geography and natural history for primary
    and secondary schools of Georgia. He is a member scientific council of Geographic
    Society of Georgia. He holds MA from Tbilisi State University in economic and social
    geography (1981).
    He has contributed to a number of publications on various foreign affairs and security
    related topics, including: NATO, Conflict resolution, CFE Treaty, National Security
    Concept of Georgia, Black Sea and Caucasus regional cooperation. He is fluent in
    English and Russian and has conversational French. His hobbies include tennis, golf,
    jazz, photography, gardening and travel.
    He was born in 1959 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is married to Téa who is journalist and
    professor of Georgian language. They have daughter Anna.
