RE: Supplementary Items
As indicated in previous correspondence, the International Secretariat has received two Resolutions
as supplementary items related to the Nagorno Karabakh Conflict. We would now like to inform
you that no compromised version of these two supplementary items has been received by the
International Secretariat. The deadline for reaching a compromise expired on Wednesday 15 June.
The Assembly's Rules of Procedures (Rule 20.2) state that "If there is no agreement on a
compromise draft resolution, the draft resolution which was received first shall be presented to the
Annual Session and others on the same issue shall fall".
In the case of the Supplementary items on the Nagorno Karabakh Conflict, the International
Secretariat received the version presented by Mr. Safarov from Azerbaijan before the one presented
by Mr. Lennmarker from Sweden.
Therefore, only the supplementary item on the Nagorno Karabakh Conflict presented by Mr.
Safarov will be on the agenda for consideration during the Annual Session.
