This year’s edition comes at a pivotal moment: 30 years after the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, and only five years until the 2030 deadline to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is a time to take stock of progress, confront persistent and emerging challenges, and renew our collective commitment to gender equality, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development.
